Carol is a third
generation artist who grew up in Cleveland with parents who enjoyed
painting on walls and hanging Christmas Trees upside down.
She was an art
education major at Kent State and later studied under the
instruction of teachers from the Art Institute in Cleveland.
For
the next 25 years Carol donated her time to murals in the
surrounding community. Everything from ballet performances, theatre
groups, churches, or office walls became her over-sized canvases.
More recently, the
Ohio country side and the "life stories" that unfold every day are
her subjects waiting to be painted. As any painter, or writer
knows, this is a never ending task.
Since 1998 much of
her inspiration and direction have come from studying with
passionate instructors such as Dino Massaroni, George Kozmon, Lou
Grasso, and Alan Peters. All of them are some of Cleveland's
finest painters.
The privilege of
painting with such talent has caused Carol to desire a more
dedicated approach to her artwork and a challenge to grow.
